Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong experience in framework development, test automation and API integration for Web, Mobile and Enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing test automation frameworks, ensuring product quality through automated tests, and integrating with various APIs. Good Knowledge of Java is must, as this will help with various aspects of the development and testing lifecycle. Key Responsibilities include
- Test Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and reusable automation frameworks.
- Automation Testing: Develop and execute automated test cases using modern test automation tools, focusing on end-to-end testing for mobile, web, chatbot and enterprise applications
- API Integration Testing: Create, execute, and maintain automated tests for APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Mobile & Web Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective automated testing for both mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications, ensuring that products meet high-quality standards.
- Enterprise Applications Testing: Automated testing of enterprise applications powered by SAP S4/Hanna and similar products
- Continuous Integration (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that the automated tests are run consistently as part of the development process.
- Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and report bugs, working closely with developers and other team members to resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop corresponding test strategies.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting best practices in automation and testing.
- Test Data: Automated Test data creation and management
- Continuous improvement – to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the automation process and look for ways to improve the quality of the software products
Skills Required :
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer with a focus on framework development using Java
- Proven experience in automation testing of web, mobile and enterprise applications
- Strong hands-on experience with testing APIs (REST/SOAP)
- Proficient in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Ability to design and automate API integration test cases.
- Proficiency in one or more test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright, XCUItest, Espresso, JUnit, TestNG, Tosca, Katalon, TestComplete, Applitools).
- Familiarity with test data management tools is desirable
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Circle CI, GitLab CI) to integrate automated tests
- Experience to integrate 3rd party tools such device clouds (Perfecto/Digital.ai/Browserstack/Sauce Labs/Lambdatest/Headspin etc.), Grafana and other point solutions to framework
- Strong attention to details
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Willingness to carry out manual testing whenever required (when automation solution isnt ready)
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
