Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient professional to join our backend operations team supporting a utility sector client. The role involves handling backend customer support tasks including data validation, billing adjustments, service requests processing, and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate resolution as per the clients standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and resolve customer service requests and queries received through various back-office systems.
  • Validate and update customer account information in CRM and billing systems.
  • Investigate billing discrepancies, meter readings, service interruptions, or complaints and provide resolution within SLA.
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure accurate information flow and issue resolution.
  • Ensure data accuracy, compliance with SOPs, and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by the client or internal team.
  • Handle bulk data entry and process automation tasks using in-house or client-provided tools.
  • Monitor workflow queues and prioritize tasks based on urgency and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Graduation not mandatory
  • Freshers with BE/BTECH/BSC/POST GRADUATES CANT APPLY
  • 1 year of experience in BPO backend/customer support, preferably in the utility domain
    ( Utilities/Insurance/BFS transaction processing back-office transactions )
  • Strong typing and data entry skills with high accuracy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with utility billing systems, CRMs, or ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (if required).

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in utility customer service (electricity, gas, water).
  • Understanding of service orders, billing cycles, and tariff plans.
  • Exposure to ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Salesforce, or Zendesk.
