Job Description:

  • Must have experience in analysis of customers current financial position, employment history, credit history, credit needs, ability to pay and the asset being offered as security.
  • Well-versed with the 4 Cs of Credit.
  • Extensive skill to adhere to regulatory and company guidelines and should be able to understand complex-subject matters quickly.
  • Experience in assessing the credit risk associated with each loan application and providing an outcome regarding Approval/decline of the loan application.
  • Experience in lending/credit policy, product and Mortgage Insurance guidelines, and a high level of judgement, in assessing applicants credit worthiness.
  • Experience in reaching out to external stake holder communication via calls with Brokers/Lenders.
  • Expertise in Customer centric communication with positive repo building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Pre-underwriting, Loan Processing, Mortgage Underwriting or Post Close Underwriting in Australian Mortgage, USA & UK mortgage domain.
  • Proven work experience as a Mortgage Underwriter or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Australia, USA, or UK lending regulations is essential for this role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
