Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform FEA on aero engine components using ANSYS Classic/Workbench, following standard simulation practices.
- Deliver analysis results on time with full compliance to team lead expectations, especially for NCs, QNs, and OTCs.
- Conduct static and non-linear analysis of metallic/ composite aero components including material, geometric, and contact behaviors.
- Create detailed stress analysis reports and perform self-review to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Should work on Aero engine components using ANSYS classic/ Workbench
- Execute a standard FEA process for aero engine components and deliver results on time set by team lead with 100%, especially NCs, QNs, and OTCs.
- Exhibit a proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and self-learning capability.
- Understand and follow structural analysis quality processes and engineering workflows.
- Apply strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, solid mechanics, fatigue, and machine design.
- Perform design modifications and validate them using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Exhibit strong technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Provide alternative solutions for field issues and support root cause analysis.
Mandatory skills:
- 3 to 8 years of experience in stress analysis of mechanical aerospace components using ANSYS APDL/Workbench/HyperMesh/OptiStruct.
- Proficient in F&DT and lifing processes for structural components.
- Experience handling NCs, QNs, and OTCs.
- Solid understanding of FEA theory, solid mechanics, machine design, and fatigue analysis.
- Skilled in 2D & 3D finite element modeling (Hexahedral & Tetrahedral elements).
- Expertise in linear and non-linear static stress analysis, modal, harmonic, and transient dynamic analysis using ANSYS tools.
- Knowledge of strength, stability, durability, and damage tolerance analysis.
- Ability to modify APDL macros, update FE models in Hypermesh
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with structural component lifing tools.
- Experience in scripting languages such as MATLAB, VB, TCL/Tk, or Python.
- Knowledge of hand calculations, engineering standards, and design codes.
- Basic proficiency in CAD tools.
