Required Skills

The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing business intelligence solutions using Power BI. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to transform business requirements into scalable dashboards, data models, and analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards, paginated reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Create efficient data models, custom measures, and calculations using DAX.
• Develop Power Query (M) transformations for data preparation and cleansing.
• Implement row-level security (RLS), data governance, and data validation.
• Improve data consistency, performance, and scalability across BI layers.
• Optimize dataset performance with incremental refresh, aggregations, index usage, and query folding.
• Implement best practices in DAX performance tuning.
• Work with large datasets and ensure best-in-class performance in Power BI Service.
• Tableau to Power BI migration relevant skillsets/expertise
• Internal & external stakeholder management

Key Skills/Knowledge:

• Expert-level knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Advanced knowledge in DAX, Power Query (M language)
• Expert knowledge in complex SQL query build
• Dashboard design, performance optimization, security
