Job Description: 

Role:

This role will be responsible for Supply Chain Master Data Management activities, including material creation, updating, extension and daytoday maintenance of supply chain data in the SAP system. The ideal candidate will have strong domain expertise in Material Master, excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in Supply Chain Master Data Management and awareness of its impact on downstream supply chain and business processes.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Material Master data maintenance in the SAP system (preferably within the Oil & Gas industry).
  • Demonstrated SAP functional knowledge, including understanding of SAP tables, Tcodes, and overall system structure.
  • Perform material creation, extension, and location setup activities in SAP, including Stripes material extensions and updates.
  • Determine missing material attributes through data analysis and by collaborating with requestors, refineries, PQ, tax, trade compliance, traders, and other stakeholders.
    Execute material deactivation activities and support periodic master data clean-up processes.
  • Create and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on PMI requests.
  • Validate all incoming requests through detailed analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness, especially when business inputs are unclear or incorrect.
  • Manage MRP (Market Reference Price) and transfer price updates in SAP.
  • Perform periodic MRP uploads (monthly WD4 to WD+4) and adhoc uploads for new materialplant combinations.
  • Create FPW (Formula Price Workbench) formulas for MRP under TORA functionality.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot IDOCs to ensure successful data flow across integrated systems.
  • Maintain Service Master records to support cost recovery processes and ensure visibility for terminals.
  • Perform table updates and support routine master data clean-up and governance activities.
  • Monitor Web Methods notifications to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Generate business reports as needed by internal stakeholders.
  • Provide analytical support, troubleshooting, and datarelated advisory services to business teams.
  • Handle service requests and incidents through ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Work with Navarik, VIP, and other supply chain tools as required.
  • Support plant deactivation activities for both operational needs and dataclean-up requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance data quality, reduce processing time, and support future requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, supply chain, and maintenance teams to improve data accuracy and optimize inventory management.

Skills:

  • 3-7 years experience in the Master Data Management domain extensive work experience in material master.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • High ownership and accountability with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, especially in data validation and interpretation.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC/S4HANA preferred.
