Job Description:

A Senior SolidWorks CAD Engineer is a seasoned designer responsible for design projects, and ensuring the technical excellence and manufacturability, This level involves ownership, active participation in project activities, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of parts and assemblies
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation in SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct detailed design analyses, including tolerance stack-ups and design for manufacturability.
• Review and approve work of junior engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies relevant to pumps and fluid handling equipment.
• Support the documentation and implementation of design changes, ECOs (engineering change orders), and BOM updates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 -10 years of experience in mechanical design, (pump components or rotating equipment is added advantage) complex assemblies, surfacing, and simulation modules is added advantage.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining,
  Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for BOM and product data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good communication and teamwork skills
