Job Description:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Core Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured for functional, regression, and API testing.
  • Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test data in collaboration with development teams and other stakeholders.
  • Integrate test automation scripts into the CI/CD pipeline (using tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).
  • Perform end-to-end testing of web applications and REST APIs, ensuring high-quality releases.
  • Troubleshoot issues with test scripts and the applications being tested.
  • Perform performance testing for API services using Rest Assured and other performance testing tools.
  • Document test results, log defects, and follow through on issue resolution with development teams.
  • Ensure the automation test scripts follow coding standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with developers to design, develop, and execute the automated tests in parallel with development work.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to testing processes and frameworks.
  • Participate in Agile development sprints, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Strong experience in Core Java with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Solid experience in Selenium WebDriver for automation of web applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Rest Assured or other API testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with TestNG and JUnit for test execution.
  • Knowledge of JUnit or TestNG for test framework implementation and execution.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for automated builds and deployments.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Experience in creating and maintaining robust test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle.
  • Proficient in using Maven for project dependency management and builds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong communication skills.
