Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Works under moderate supervision; acquires and applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
• Evaluate and verify applications determining whether borrower will be able to repay the loan by performing a detailed income verification (Income Verification and analysis)
  Verify income and employment information,
• Review credit history, including Bankruptcy, Fraud alerts, Bankruptcy Discharge, Delinquency and Foreclosures. (Credit Review and Analysis)
• Calculate the value of the borrowers collateral and assets (Asset Review and Analysis)
• Ensure that the property specifications and loan terms meet Banks requirements and government regulations.

Skills Required:

• Excellent reading and comprehension skills.
• Excellent decision-making skills that are backed by relevant details and research.
• Good analytical and audit skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills along with good listening skills
• Knowledge pertaining to the regulations governing mortgage lending.
• Logical and reasoning skills
• Ability to multitask
• Must pay close attention to detail

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferably B. Com/BBA/MBA.
• 3 to 5 years of overall banking experience with a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in residential Mortgage Underwriting for Conventional/FHA/VA loans.
• Willingness to work in night shifts is a must.
